Microsoft Azure presents Cloud Cultures

Innovation around the world

Cloud Cultures is a docu-travel series that positions Microsoft Cloud as a vital catalyst for innovation by exploring the people and organizations using Azure to tackle their most complex local challenges—while also driving global change.

In the series, we follow our host, Corey Sanders, a Microsoft Corporate Vice President, as he meets with local innovators around the world to discover how culture influences technology. Across three seasons, we've traveled to Poland, Sweden, the UK, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Malaysia, Japan, Chile, the USA, the United Arab Emirates, and Mexico. Each 20-minute episode is rich in storytelling, blending innovation and culture.

I served as the day-to-day creative lead from the initial pitch through the publication of the final episode.

To date, the series has garnered over 6.2 million views across all episodes.

Cinematic highlights

From custom hyperlases and color grades to intimate portraits and wide ariels, to typography that was integrated into the scene we made sure every aspect of the series was considered to keep the audience engaged.

Season Three

Season three brought us to Spain, South Africa, Chile and the UAE. Where we explored the Cloud Cultures of four very different countries, each with a passion for sustainability.

Season Two

Building upon the success of season one, we went in search of even newer Cloud Cultures. Our journey led us to Malaysia, Mexico, the American Rust Belt, and Japan.

Season One

In our first Season, we saw Corey travel to four different countries in Europe: Poland, Sweden, United Kingdom and Italy.

Show identity development

We assembled a dream team to help create the visual identity for Cloud Cultures. Comp after comp, concept after concept, name after name, the team’s exploration paid off to arrive at our final identity.
